Low-pressure overmoulding is a technique where a low-viscosity polymer is injected into a mold under low pressure, usually creating a soft-touch outer layer over a rigid substrate. However, for larger runs requiring rapid production, injection moulding remains the more viable option despite its higher setup and per-unit costs.
